This view is taken
from the same spot as the view looking towards the village. This shows
how close the station is to the river. At this point, the estuary is
tidal. The land on the other side is the North Wales coast, roughly
between Flint on the left and Mostyn on the right.
At Thurstaston, the land is considerably higher than the river level, so
there are cliffs leading down to sandy beaches at the waters edge. Up
and down the coast, at West Kirby and Parkgate, the land slopes gently down
to the coastline.
