This photo is of the
platform face of the up platform. Behind the trough added to
provide water for animals on the Wirral Way can be seen a brick arch. This was in front of the signal box, which was situated on the platform. The signal wires and point levers from the signal box would have run under the platform surface and out under the arch in the platform face. They would then have been turned through 90 degrees to run in each direction immediately in front of the platform face to their respective signal or point. |
